Weekly Workouts 4

Hello, so my running milage last week was a bit lower than my last few weeks but that is just because I decided to take it easier before heading back to school mid-week and I took a travel day off of running since we left early in the morning. Here is how it went.

Sunday: 6.77 miles 47 minutes, 75 minutes elliptical

Monday: 6.66 miles 45 minutes, yoga, core work, lifting

Tuesday: 75 minutes elliptical

Wednesday: 7.1 miles 51 minutes, 3.32 miles 23:40 minutes, core work

Thursday: 7.03 miles 50 minutes, 18 mile bike ride outside with my mom 90 minutes

Friday: 6.4 miles 50 minutes (conversation pace with the entire xc team), 75 minutes elliptical

Saturday: Fartlek run (2 x 2 min, 2 min, 1 min with 2 min inbetween reps and 4 min between sets + warm up and cooldown) 9.4 miles 64 minutes, core work, lifting

Summary: 46.7 running miles, 2 weight lifting sessions, 3 core work sessions, 18 mile bike ride, 225 minutes elliptical cross training

As a distance running we really like our cardio work hopefully it’ll all pay off this season, as of right now i’m feeling great!

  1. I would be dead if I was doing 3 workouts a day! How do you have so much energy?! LOL Also, on a more serious note, how do you make sure you’re fueling enough to do all these intense workouts? Do you work with a nutritionist? Just curious!

    1. Yoga I don’t really consider a workout at this point I find it more as personal time that really forces me to stretch well and relax. Core work and weight lifting I also find as maintenance because I run cross country I’m not trying to get stronger necessarily or build too much muscle just maintain lean muscle mass.
My friends like to call me an energizer bunny though, I just naturally have a lot of energy on a regular basis and I have worked up to my cardio level over the years with my training.
I make sure to eat healthy whole foods most of the time. I always have snacks on me or in my car and pack my breakfast or lunch at night to take to class with me when I’m tight in time. I find myself constantly eating and snacking.i have worked with a nutritionist in the past and will see him atleast once again his fall to check in. He calculated me eating around 3,000 calories a day when he had me track what I ate for a week and I maintained my weight with that. It’s a lot for a short, small girl but I’m asking a lot of my body through my training and conditioning. I also make sure to get 8-9 hours of sleep a night. Hope that helps! I drink coffee in the morning after my runs too 🙂 I love the taste and if I’m short on time ill throw a scoop of click mocha protein powder into my cup of coffee.
