Today I only have a few random thoughts but I saw an archives post from Amanda’s blog that I liked so I decided to fill it out! I really love surveys, especially ones that have to do with food. Get ready to learn all my choices between “this and that.”
First for some thoughts though!
1. I’ll be going home a week from today!!! YAY, I cannot wait to spend Valentine’s Day with Shane, I know it’s a hallmark holiday but ya know it’s about love so why not celebrate is a sense. No big gifts are needed just a good meal and some chocolate!
2. After the light being on in my car for almost two weeks I finally got my oil changed yesterday and a tire rotation… it took almost 90 minutes! They were super busy.
3. Today starts my weekend 🙂 and I’m babysitting tomorrow night so I will get a good dinner and do my laundry.
[A] Apples or oranges: I would have said apples a year ago but thanks to the fructose intolerance that is not a food a can eat so…oranges, but tangerines/cuties/satsumas are better I think.
[B] Beans or lentils: beans (black & garbanzo) are my favorites
[C] Cereal or oatmeal: can I decide? I love both so much! It really depends on the type of cereal and how your flavoring/adding too your oats.
[D] Dates or raisins: neither are allowed but I like dates more
[E] Eggs or milk: eggs, I really like eggs for protein and an easy dinner. When I am home my mom and I make eggs for dinner once a week. I like them savory and sweet!
[F] French toast or waffles: French toast is awesome! I’m always on the lookout for good French toast, I love making stuffed French toast at home too. Waffles are ranked higher than pancakes for me though.
[G] Garlic or salt: garlic, I lovee garlic flavored things and don’t really use salt, I don’t add it to my foods ever.
[H] Honey or maple syrup: again neither are allowed 😦 flavoring/sweetening things can be tough or me!
[I] Ice cream or frozen yogurt: I’m sure everyone knows this answer, I’m a frozen yogurt addict!!
[J] Jam or toast: no jam for me so toast?
[K] Kale or spinach: spinach, nice and iron fortified, but I have frozen kale to add to smoothies since it is good good for you!
[L] Lemon or lime: lemon, but I like lime a lot too, I think lemon is just more available/used.
[M] Muffins or cupcakes: Muffins, I don’t really like cake or cupcakes because I don’t like frosting. I love love love to bake muffins though and my team has nicknamed me “mom” since I always bake muffins for them!
[O] Onions or peppers: Peppers, I really like red peppers to be exact. Nothing against onions though but cooked are definitely better.
[P] Peanuts or almonds: Almonds usually, as a snack that is, but I prefer peanut butter. I’m weird, I know 🙂 I just really love trail mix though!
[Q] Quick or yeast bread: Quick bread, I have no tried to use yeast too often but the few times I have have not been very successful. I stick to baking quick breads now.
[R] Raspberry or blackberry: Raspberry, but I would say Blueberry if that was an option! Raspberries are second in line and then blackberries.
[S] Sweet or savory: Sweet, my family gives me a hard time for my terrible sweet tooth, I am always “snacking” on sweet treats.
[T] Tea or coffee: Coffee, I’m a huge coffee drinker, not just for the caffeine (but that helps in the morning) I like the taste of coffee and if it is later in the day i’ll drink decaf.
[U] Udon or spaghetti noodles: Eh neither, I’m not a big pasta/noodle person. My family even used wonton wrappers for our lasagna.
[V] Vanilla or chocolate: Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! I like all things flavored chocolate or chocolate associated, dark is the best!
[W] Whole wheat or white bread: I don’t eat all that much sandwich bread, yes to baked loafs but not store bought usually, but if I had to choose I would say Whole Wheat for sure. The only time I have white bread is if I by chance order a sandwich at a restaurant and that’s the only choice or bread pre-meal at restaurants but that’s the gooodddd stuff like baguettes.
[X] Xanthan or guar gum: Neither, I’ve never used either and don’t really see the need to buy them, there are so many “health” products out there that are just to get people to spend money.
[Y] Yogurt or pudding: Yogurt! I love my greek yogurt, plain is the best I think but lemon is a close second for a day I’m feeling some fruity flavor, but I am not a huge pudding fan. I usually add my own flavorings via protein powder to my yogurt.
[Z] Zucchini or cucumber: Zucchini for sure, cucumbers just taste pretty plain to me, I eat them with hummus when they are around but never go out of my way to buy them, I really like roasted Zucchini though.
